100% of all donations go directly to assisting seniors served by GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries.

Your entire gift goes to providing direct resident assistance for personal care and food items, social programs, and activities that promote a healthy and fulfilled life. Operational expenses are covered by contributions from the GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries Board of Trustees, staff, Wesley Living employees, growth from the endowment fund, and net proceeds from the Annual Golf Classic. Operational expenses have been handled this way for over 20 years.

Daily Use Items

Seniors living in Wesley communities need a wide range of daily use items to help make ends meet. From paper towels and facial tissue to cleaning supplies, bed sheets and more, the following list of Daily Use Items are needed in support of the seniors served by GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries.Please note: Due to storage capacity and personnel, GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries cannot accept donations of furniture, books, clothing, household items and small kitchen appliances. Move-In Kits

A Move-In Kit provides all the daily use items, basic household items and cleaning supplies needed to start a new home. All this effort turns a unsheltered senior’s newfound shelter into a sanctuary! Move-In Kits cost approximately $325. Here are the items included in a Move-In Kit. Rev. Jerry Corlew Unsheltered Interventions Program

This program was established by a donation from an anonymous donor to assist with the assimilation of unsheltered seniors moving into Wesley Living communities. Funds from this program are used to acquire basic furniture, household goods and essentials, personal care items and food. These items help turn a unsheltered senior’s newfound shelter into a sanctuary. Future funding ensures our ability to keep up with the ever-increasing numbers of unsheltered seniors. Contributions to this initiative also extend the reach and scope of GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries Resident’s Fund.

Endowment Fund

The Endowment Fund represents a “permanent” gift to GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries. Financial donations or gifts of financial instruments designated for the Endowment Fund become a permanent contribution. By Board of Trustees policy, the principle of this fund may not be withdrawn. Only income generated from the fund may be used for the operation of GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries. A gift to the Endowment Fund leaves a lasting legacy for the donor.

GOLDEN CROSS Senior Ministries Resident’s Fund™

This general fund collects donations in support of resident’s personal, social and community needs. Non-designated financial donations are placed in this account to assist with individual personal needs, social events and community activities. As the Wesley Living population increases, the balance of this fund will have to grow to meet the expanding needs.
